HRI recently awarded grants totalling $8,000 (CDN) to seven organizations in Metro Vancouver that are working on human rights initiatives.

Projects included a QUICKFlicks project in the (Vancouver) Tri-Cities targeting high school students, a truth and reconciliation project at a Vancouver elementary school, and an art project focusing on the articles in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights at a Vancouver secondary school. As well, a Francophone Scouts group received support to better integrate kids with special needs into their troupe.
